Timeless???? An appropriate name for a drum and bass label, as it is a music form itself which has become timeless with its ability to change and form itself at the drop of a hat, ensuring that its never past its sell by date. Timeless reflects that exact trend by changing and forming itself with the times rather than following trends. With its inception 11 years ago, the label has been in the thick of it and has played as much of a part in helping to structure the sound of drum and bass, as many other of its drum and bass counterparts including: Good Looking Records, Moving Shadow, Metalheadz and Reinforced. The label consistently releases the sound of now and tomorrow. When drum and bass went through its laid back era Timeless chilled their with the strings of The Funky Technicians aka Total Science, the funk of Mouly (now pro skateboarder living in the USA) and Lucida. Back in the 90’s, all the Timeless dub plates were played week in week out at Speed, this being the first ever ground breaking drum and bass club. Everyone from Fabio and LTJ Bukem , to Doc Scott and Peshay would tear up the dance floor. And now you will hear a Timeless record played at Brian Gee’s ‘Movement’, LTJ Bukem’s ‘Logical Progression’, Fabio’s ‘Swerve’, Goldie’s ‘Sunday Sessions’, and not forgetting Timeless Recordings own ‘Source’ night, the most consistent and longest serving drum and bass club in the UK to date. And with everyone you would want to release a track on your label, to add to the labels calibre, including: Photek, Digital (with ‘Spacefunk’ being one of the biggest drum and bass tunes ever), Spirit, Total Science, Simon Bassline Smith, Pendulum, Cause 4 Concern, Concord Dawn. Timeless has had the lot. There really is no stopping this time. The time’s are changing and Timeless recordings changes them. |
