Production duo Jay Monds (aka DJ Pots) and Josh Lees have been in the studio together since ’99. Their first release onto vinyl came through the UK’s Perspective Imprint, and since they have built up their profile by releasing tracks on labels such as Industry and Subtronix, as well as signing projects to Bad Companies sister label, Square One Recordings.
The guys label is based in Auckland, and is also home to their excellent label: Cyanide Recordings. When the pair aren’t in the studio you will find Jay (a 9 year DJ of the New Zealand drum and bass scene) behind the decks taking the Bulletproof sound to dance floors all over New Zealand. Cyanide Recordings is headed by DJ Pots in collaboration with Joshua Lees, and focuses on the promotion of drum and bass.
The label lends itself towards a hard, techno influenced sound, and artists under its banner include Bulletproof and Vector Burn.
