Founded in 2005 by Chris Hayes and Paul Moody, Red Mist Recordings is a UK-based label that was formed to contribute to a new dawn in futuristic drum & bass, aiming to revitalise exhausted templates with fresh ideas focussing on atmosphere, musicality and dancefloor appeal. Releasing two acclaimed CD albums 'First Wave' and Silbrfish's 'Future Sound Exploration' as well as various digital downloads in the early days, Red Mist built up its reputation rapidly, inevitably leading to the label being snapped up for vinyl distribution.

So far, Red Mist has welcomed on 12" Electrosoul System, ASC, ICR and Well Being, all receiving heavy DJ support worldwide. In addition, the digital offshoot 'Red Mist Digital' has gone from strength to strength, taking in beats from newcomers and scene stalwarts alike, expanding to all the major mp3 sites thanks to a new digital distribution deal agreed in 2008.

Future releases cover all bases including 12" appearances from the likes of FX909, Furney and ASC, an exciting new CD album titled 'The Sixth Extinction' and further Red Mist Digital mp3 releases.
