2nd Drop Records was set up by journalist and DJ, Mark Gurney aka Markle and James Bliss aka DJ JBliss in Feb 2007 to help release the wealth of quality music emanating from their friends in the dubstep scene. After winding down his previous label, LIVE Recordings, which released the critically acclaimed Jamie Woon single “Wayfaring Stranger” that featured an awesome Burial Remix, Mark and James joined forces over their shared love of Ramadanman’s Good Feelin, the debut release on 2nd Drop. The name, inspired by the energy, excitement, tension and release produced by the 2nd Drop of a track, aims to embody those principals in every record they put out.
