Conceived in the summer of 2006 by friends and stalwarts of the Cheltenham and Gloucester drum'n'bass scenes Subverse and Stumasta, Deep Soul Music is seen as something of a continuation for these dnb visionaries after a stint spent managing Sensor Records for the mighty Donovan 'Bad Boy' Smith.
Setting the precedent for DSM's flagship release (Scheduled for release mid May 2007) are two tracks from two of hottest new acts on the scene. London based newcomers Do The Math waste little time in establishing themselves at the more soulful flex of the DSM arsenal, while newcomer LSB bursts out of the blocks after several hugely succesful years in club promotion, laying down some funky minimal business to represent the more experimental take on the DSM mould.
With an abundance of quality in reserve watch out for a glut of future deep soul from artists including the likes of Spectrasoul, Lynx, Coalition, Subsurface and a rather special remix project. Taking place alongside a jam packed release schedule will be a series of tour nights up and down the UK, helping the label showcase both its artists and many talented counterparts across the spectrum of melodic drum'n'bass
